Superbowl Nachos and Warm Dip Made with Chic! Fondue
Ingredients

For the Nachos:

  • 1 pkg (350g) of 1001 Fondues' beer flavoured "Chic! Fondue" cheese fondue

  • 1 bag tortilla chips

  • 1 pkg Rheintal sliced chorizo

  • 1 jalapeño pepper, thinly sliced into rounds

  • ¼ red onion, finely slivered

  • 12 cherry tomatoes, halved

  • Fresh cilantro leaves (for garnish)

  • Salsa (on the side or for drizzling)

For the Dip:

  • 1 small tub (125g) 1001 Fondues "Chic! à la bière" Snack size

  • ¼ tsp Chili powder

  • ¼ tsp Cajun spice blend

  • 1/8 tsp Garlic powder

  • 1 wedge Lime, juiced

Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F.

  2. Layer the nachos: on a large baking sheet, spread out half of the tortilla chips. Top with a layer of sliced chorizo, red onions, and jalapeños. Use a spoon to place small pieces of the cold, beer flavoured Chic! Fondue evenly over the chips.

  3. Repeat: Add a second layer of chips and the remaining toppings (chorizo, onions, jalapeños, and cheese).

  4. Bake for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden brown.

  5. Prepare the dip: While the nachos are in the oven, heat the 125g snack-sized fondue in the microwave following the package instructions. Once melted, stir in the chili powder, Cajun spices, garlic powder, and lime juice.

  6. Garnish & Serve: Remove the hot nachos from the oven. Top with fresh cilantro, halved cherry tomatoes, and salsa. Serve immediately with the warm cheese dip on the side.
